October 20–28, 2027 · 9 Days / 8 Nights
For those who fell in love with Bordeaux and want to go deeper. New estates, new regions, new perspectives — but the same intimate format that makes Maison Meritage unlike anything else. Harvest season returns, and so do we.
You've seen Saint-Émilion. You've tasted the classified growths. Now go further. This itinerary is built for the second visit — the estates that don't advertise, the appellations that insiders whisper about, the meals that happen in kitchens instead of dining rooms.
We keep the harvest magic — barrel tastings, vendange energy, autumn markets. But the route is new. Cognac country. The deep Médoc. A farewell on the Seine instead of a restaurant. This is Bordeaux for people who already love Bordeaux.
Each day brings new discoveries. Click to expand and explore what awaits.
Welcome to France. Arrive at Charles de Gaulle and transfer to our Marais hotel. For those arriving early, an afternoon walking the covered passages of the 2nd arrondissement — the most Parisian thing you can do. Welcome dinner at a neighborhood wine bar.
First-class TGV south through the autumn countryside. Arrive in Bordeaux and check into the hotel. Afternoon at the Cité du Vin — the world's wine culture museum, and the perfect way to set the stage. Evening at leisure in the old city.
Today we go past the tourist châteaux into the heart of the Médoc. Visit a cru bourgeois estate where the winemaker still does everything by hand. Lunch in Pauillac at a winemaker's home. Afternoon at a Haut-Médoc property most visitors never find. This is where the real stories are.
An extraordinary day — join a harvest crew at a family estate for a morning of picking grapes. Work the rows, feel the rhythm, understand why the French call it a celebration. Extended lunch with the harvest team. Afternoon watching the sorting and crush at the winery.
Leave wine country for a day and enter the world of Cognac. Tour a legendary maison — the chai where barrels age for decades, the blending room where the cellar master works by nose alone. Lunch in the riverside town of Cognac. Visit a smaller artisan distiller on the way back.
The sweet wines of Sauternes are harvested later than anywhere else — and October is their moment. Visit a premier cru estate as noble rot transforms the grapes. Multi-course lunch at a Graves estate with wines spanning three decades. The golden hour here is literal.
The coast again, but different. Take the ferry from Arcachon to Cap Ferret — the pine-forested peninsula where Bordelais families have summered for generations. Oysters at a cabane on the water. Walk the endless ocean beach. Afternoon free to explore.
Morning TGV back to Paris. Afternoon at leisure — a museum, a market, one last walk. Evening farewell dinner aboard a private Seine cruise. Watch the city light up from the water as we toast to the journey. This is how it ends — on the river, under the bridges, with the people who get it.
